New for 2011/12 was Gym Mania's entry into GymFusion... which took place on 12th February 2012 at Wright Robinson College, Manchester M18 8RL.

GymFusion is the British Gymnastics National Festival Programme and this year is supported by the North West Gymnastics Association. It offers the chance for teams of gymnasts to perform in a show style, non-competitive event where the emphasis is on fun and friendship.

GymFusion involves all disciplines of gymnastics, with or without apparatus and incorporates various forms of dance and musical interpretation. It offers a fantastic experience for both gymnasts and spectators alike. GymFusion captures the ethos of our Gymnastics for All Programme; the bringing together gymnasts of all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds to enjoy the diverse range of physical activities offered by gymnastics.

Why has British Gymnastics created GymFusion?
Festival Gymnastics has a strong following throughout the UK and many performance teams and clubs regularly travel the country to show off their display skills. British Gymnastics understands the importance of offering all our members the opportunity to perform and achieve whatever the age or stage of development of the participant.

We have created GymFusion for the following reasons:

• To bring together our gymnastics community
• To demonstrate the diverse nature of gymnastics
• To encourage participation and performance
• To value all disciplines, all ages and all stages of development
• To develop personal expression
• To experience the opportunity to perform and achieve in a fun, friendly and social environment
