Despite being a recreational club Gym Mania still takes part in low-level floor and vault competitions to great success...




In 2009 the club entered its first ever gymnastics competition, the North West Gymnastics Floor and Vault competition with great success. The 12 children who entered won 10 medals.




The following year, 2010, the club entered the competition again, this year with 24 gymnasts including boys including at a higher level. The success was outstanding with 30 medals. The club is very proud of this especially with the club focus being on FUN rather than competitive gymnastics and also in a club with (at present) limited space but tones of enthusiasm and smiles.




We hope to enter at least one competition a year to give those children who wish to pursue gymnastics at a low level competition route the opportunities within Gymnastics without the pressure of elite gymnastics. Any child, subject to British Gymnastics minimum ages, can take part irrespective of none high-level ability as the emphasis is on FUN and the children doing the best that they can.
